University of the Punjab

The University of the Punjab was established in 1882 in Lahore, Pakistan. It is the largest and oldest seat of higher learning in Pakistan. The university comprises 5 campuses, 13 faculties, 10 constituent colleges, over 73  departments/centers/institutes, and 658 affiliated colleges. It has over 1300 faculty members and 45,678 on-campus students.

The University of the Punjab has played a leading role in higher education in the country. The university strives to provide a conducive environment for the pursuit of the academic activities.

Faculty of Commerce

The Faculty of Commerce was established during the session 1919-20. Government Institute of Commerce was established in 1919 and affiliated with the University of the Punjab for issuing Diploma in Commerce. In 1922, it was recommended that a Bachelor Degree in Commerce should replace the diploma.

Hailey College of Commerce

Hailey College of Commerce, a constituent college of the University of the Punjab, was established on 4th March, 1927. It is one of the oldest and premium institutes of commerce and business education in the sub-continent. The college is offering B.Com, BS Accounting and Finance, M.Com, M.Phil, and Ph.D. degrees. In addition, associated degrees and various diplomas in commerce and business are also being offered.
